Call Susan von der Lippe at 203-1374 for more information on which practice group your swimmer should begin with.
If openings exist in the desired group, follow these steps to become a member of the Loveland Swim Club:
1. United States Swimming Form or Liability Waiver (Splish groups)
USA Swimming Form - 2011
Liability Waiver (Splish groups)
Download these forms at the bottom of this page under Attachments.
Complete a USA Swimming form or Liability Waiver for each swimmer that you plan to enroll. Forms can be obtained from the manager, Susan von der Lippe, from the coach, or downloaded from this site. Attach a check for $57 per swimmer made out to Colorado Swimming Inc. This yearly fee covers insurance for your two week trial period and for the rest of the calendar year. Return both forms with the $57 check to the coach at the first practice your child attends. Do not mail these forms or the check directly to Colorado Swimming Inc.
Splish swimmers do not need to be USA Swimming members. They will need to complete a liability waiver and pay a $5 insurance fee. Return the Liability Waiver along with the $5 fee to the Loveland Swim Club.
High School Group swimmers must be USA Swimming members.
The USA Swimming membership costs $57 and will enable the HS group swimmer to train with the club and to compete at USS meets throughout the year.
This USA Swimming Form check will be held until the end of the two-week trial. If your child joins the swim club after two weeks, this check will be send to USA Swimming and you will receive an official USA Swimming athlete card in the mail. This card is needed for entering any USA Swimming swim meet. If your child quits the club directly after his/her two-week trial, the USS Registration check will be returned to you.
Please note that the two week trial is for both you and the coach to determine if your child is ready to join the club. However, the coach always has final discretion regarding team and group membership.
2. First Month Dues & Club Registration Fee
After your two-week trial, you will begin receiving monthly dues invoices along with our monthly newsletter. Dues will be billed at the beginning of each month and are due by the 15th of each month. There is also a yearly registration fee. The current fee is $30 per swimmer. If you quit the club, please contact the club manager, Susan von der Lippe, and your swimmer's coach. Swimmers pay for the entire month once the month begins. If you quit in the middle of the month, you still owe dues for that entire month. Dues are only prorated when someone joins the club in the middle of the month. If you rejoin the club during the same fiscal year (Sept - August), you repay the club registration fee when you rejoin.
3. Who Receives the Forms?
Please give the completed forms and the USA Swimming check to the coach. He or she will place them in the LSC drop boxes located at both MVHS and TVHS pools. The club manager, Susan von der Lippe, will use the forms to place a child on a group roster during their two-week trial. Be certain that you have contacted the manager to ensure a spot on the group for your child before coming to practice.
4. Start Swimming with the designated group
Splish groups work out at the Thompson Valley High School pool in the shallow end. The Splash groups trains in the deep end of the TVHS pool. All other groups train in the competition course of the two high school pools: TVHS & MVHS.

5. What do I bring to practice?
Bring a swim suit. Goggles and caps are needed for swimmers in Splash and higher-level groups. Loveland Swim Club members receive a 10% discount at Mind Imprints (MI Sports) located north on Hwy 287 in Loveland.
6. How do I quit the club?
If your swimmer wants to quit the club for a short or long period of time, you must contact the Manager, Susan von der Lippe, as soon as possible. (203-1374) Do not simply tell the coach. He or she is not responsible for managing dues, group rosters, or invoices. You will continue to be charged monthly dues until the manager is notified. Please be considerate and inform the manager of your child's departure from our program as soon as possible.
